Description: Zinfandel House is situated on a wooded hillside a short distance up from Highway 29, halfway between St. Helena and Calistoga. Our decks offer a spectacular view of the vineyards below, the beautiful mountains across the valley and majestic Mt. St. Helena to the north.
Here in the heart of the wine country, we are close to many wineries. There are nearby trails for hiking, jogging, walking or bicycling.
A room is set aside for reading, listening to music or browsing through our collection of books on food, wine and travel. Guests enjoy relaxing on the deck in summer or in front of the fire in winter.
Guests have a choice of three, tastefully-decorated bedrooms. The rates for two of these rooms with shared bath are $l00.00 each, plus taxes, double occupancy, per night. (One of these rooms with private bath is $120.00, plus taxes). The third bedroom has a king-sized bed, private bath and private balcony with a view. The rate for this larger room is $l45.00, plus taxes. Rooms have very comfortable beds with goose down comforters and handmade quilts. Our woodsy setting provides quiet, restful sleeping.
Usually, a 2-nights, minimum stay is required, along with a deposit for at least the first night's lodging. It is advisable to make reservations in advance. Our cancellation policy is seven days' notice and a l0% service charge. We accept Visa and Master Charge credit cards.
Check-in time is between 4 and 6 p.m. unless other arrangements have been made. Please call from St. Helena or Calistoga for directions as we are on a private, unmarked road.
We are happy to make dinner reservations for our guests at any of the valley's outstanding restaurants; make recommendations and/or reservations for winery visits; and make suggestions for other activities the valley offers. We enjoy sharing a bottle of Napa Valley's fine wine in the late afternoon.
Other Amenities: In the morning, a lovely, sit-down breakfast is served either in our solarium or on the deck, overlooking the vineyards and mountains. Fresh fruits, melons and berries, in season; fresh herbs; homemade breads and jellies are part of the full breakfast.
We have been extending our hospitality at Zinfandel House for over twenty years. We enjoy food and wine; and, more important, we enjoy people. This makes having a Bed and Breakfast so rewarding for us and an enjoyable and unique experience for our guests. We hope to have the pleasure of your company!
