Description: Built specifically to be a Bed and Breakfast, Woodrow House is the culmination of four years of dreaming, planning, researching and designing by the owners and hosts, David and Dawn Fleming. The Woodrow House is the first permanent structure built on the corner lot at 19th street and Boston Avenue. The land was first deeded by the state of Texas via Patent No. 457, Vol. 30 dated August 2, 1878.
Woodrow House is named after David's paternal grandfather, George Woodrow Fleming (1914-1972). Woodrow ""Woody"" Fleming was a Texas Rancher, agribusinessman, cotton ginner, grain merchant and entrepreneur. Located across the street from Texas Tech University, Woodrow House is within walking distance to virtually all university events and activities.
Other Amenities: Woodrow House has seven guest rooms available, all with private baths. The rooms are decorated according to their names and include the Victorian Room, the President's Room, the 50's Room, the Alumni Room, Granny's Attic, the Lone Star Room, and the Caboose.
