Description: The Wilderness Inn is snuggled within the White Mountain National Forest, five miles south of Franconia Notch State Park, offering accommodations with character in the quaint New England town of North Woodstock, New Hampshire. Built in 1912 as a lumbermill owner's home, the inn still has a country house atmosphere that welcomes guests to this "neck of the woods". Ideally located, we are two and a half hours north of Boston and three hours south of Montreal.
All seven bedrooms and suites, each with a private bath, as well as the "honeymoon" cottage overlooking Lost River, are smoke free, individually decorated, and feature photographs and articles of a foreign country. Bathroom amenities include our own specially milled soap, shampoo, and hairdryer. Each room has individually controlled heat, cable TV, and air-conditioning. The Inn's living room has a large working fireplace, the perfect place to savor a cup of hot, mulled cider after a day of skiing. The bright front porch is a welcoming spot to enjoy a cold glass of lemonade in the summer. Free wireless internet service (Wi-Fi) is available throughout the Inn and Cottage.
