The home was owned by several individuals between 1836 and 1880. In 1880 it was purchased by George C. Steiger, a local business man. The residence remained in the Steiger family until acquired by Ron and Nancy Snyder in 1992.There are several restaurants and eating establishments in Mercersburg available to suit every taste. The James Buchanan Pub and Restaurant and Flannerys restaurant are both only a short walk from our front door. The Main Street Cafe, Romeos Pizza and Als Pizza are also within walking distance.
