Description: As innkeepers, we would like to welcome you to the The Pink Mansion. This restored 1875 home combines turn-of-the-century elegance with modern amenities to provide our wine-country travellers with old-fashioned comfort.

We are pleased to offer our guests the choice of six intimate rooms. Each has been individually decorated in keeping with the spirit of Aunt Alma Simic, the Pink Mansion's last and longest resident owner. A colorful, vibrant woman with eclectic tastes, Aunt Alma collected angels, cherubs, Victorian and Oriental treasures that still adorn many rooms. She was also responsible for adding the Pink Mansion's trademark, indoor heated swimming pool. Moreover, it was under her care that the house was repainted pink and christened the Pink Mansion in the 1930's. Since that time, it has been an enduring landmark in Calistoga.
The Pink Mansion was built in Calistoga's 19th century heyday. Its large parlour and crystal chandeliers recall the grand parties given here by its first owner, William F. Fisher, for visiting dignitaries and townspeople alike. Fisher built this landmark in the 1870's on land given to him by Calistoga's founder, Sam Brannan. A pioneer and adventurer himself, Fisher established Calistoga's first stage line, linking the town with mining sites on Mt. St. Helena and points north.

Today the Pink Mansion stands less than 1/4 mile from downtown Calistoga with it's shops, restaurants, spas, and much more. Napa Valley boasts 150 wineries and over 50 are within biking distance. Many wineries provide picturesque picnic areas, and we are happy to arrange a picnic lunch order upon request. Calistoga itself is ideally situated among the famous wine districts of Napa and Sonoma counties. And is only a little more than an hour drive to the Pacific Ocean, the magnificent Redwoods, or the city of San Francisco.
