Description: Welcome to The Oxford House Inn, a Maine Bed and Breakfast and Country Inn with a gourmet restaurant in the Western Lakes and Mountains Region of Maine. Owned by John & Phyllis Morris since 1985, the Inn is a stately turn-of-the-century Mission style residence designed by the famous Maine architect, John Calvin Stevens in 1913. Situated in the village of Fryeburg, Maine, our bed and breakfast has spectacular White Mountain views. We are highly recommended by many New England guides: Pamela Lanier's Bed & Breakfast Guide, Recommended Country Inns of New England, Inn Spots & Special Places and Maine an Explorers' Guide. We offer fantastic dining by candlelight, 4 elegant guest rooms and genuine hospitality. With a grand presence on Main Street our inn is located in the Mount Washington Valley near the Saco River, the White Mountain National Forest, Kezar Lake, Sebago Lake and the Greater Bridgton Lakes & Mountains Region.
Other Amenities: Our comfortable guest rooms on the second floor are relaxing, smoke-free & have wireless Internet access. All four rooms have been attractively decorated with a charming, old-fashioned flair. Enjoy a great night's sleep and wake up to the wonderful aromas coming from John & Phyllis' kitchen. Begin your day with fresh brewed coffee, tea and homemade scones. Then delight in a full gourmet breakfast in our scenic breakfast room overlooking the White Mountains. A great way to start your day! An antique filled nostalgic room, featuring one queen & one double bed, beautiful original antique wallpaper, framed Audubon prints, a marble sink, color cable TV, A/C, sitting area & private bath. |
