Description: A beautifully renovated brownstone building that is close to Central park and an upscale shopping zone. The quiet, leafy street makes you forget youre in the heart of the city. The townhouse has three comfortable guest rooms three studios with kitchens and two family-friendly suites that sleep five. Theres no common area for guests, but the spacious, high-ceilinged rooms, suites, and studios are ideal for lounging and most have working fireplaces. The cozy, relaxing accommodations are a nice hotel-alternative so long as you don't require 24-hour room service. In warm weather, the Garden Room is an especially nice option since it is the only unit with access to the lovely terrace. A four-night minimum is usually expected. The rooms are furnished with antiques and the decor is warm and homey. The result is a feeling of home and hearth. More country inn than urban B&B, good taste, and loving care are evident in details such as hand-stitched quilts, hooked rugs, sleigh beds, and paintings abound. Most bedrooms feature original moldings and working fireplaces. Windows look out on either the leafy, quiet street or the tree-shaded back garden.
