Description: Lodging at The Inn At St. John isn't just a stay, it's a chance to experience a piece of Maine history. Originally known as the Hotel Victoria, the inn was built by railroad tycoon John Deering in 1897 to accommodate arriving train passengers at Portland's Union Station, which was located a block away. You can still see how grand the station was, immortalized in a photo taken from the roof of The Inn.
Conveniently located off the West End of Downtown, Portland, ME, The Inn At St. John has been providing travelers to this city with exemplary service for over 100 years. Only a short distance from all major incoming forms of travel, we offer free pick-up from either Portland International Jetport (PWM) or the new Portland Transportation Center which houses the Concord Trailways Bus Station and Amtrak Downeaster Train connection.
