Description: Nestled among palms and oak trees in the heart of the residential area of the East End Historical District on lovely Galveston Island, The Garden Inn offers unique lodgings in a relaxed setting. Ideal as a destination for your personal special occasion or the business traveler's respite, The Garden Inn is an excellent place to be pampered. Located near the Seawall, the Historic Strand and the Postoffice Street shopping and entertainment districts, and UTMB, we are ideally located to meet all your holiday and special occasion needs.

Try to imagine living in a tropical setting in an elegant Victorian home on the balmy Texas Gulf Coast. Owners and innkeepers, Pam and Mike Gilbert have done just that for 30 years. Their purchase of the Garden Inn in September 2000 was a dream come true. The move from their small Victorian home just three blocks away to the Garden Inn provided space for numerous paintings by local artists and impressive antiques collected on numerous trips to antique shows and auctions.

Pam and Mike know the true meaning of southern hospitality and strive to make all guests feel welcome. Together they have created a comfortable home, unique in style and character. The Garden Inn is ready for you and yours to enjoy. Pam and Mike enjoy all the special events in the Galveston community. You will find unique holiday decorations and celebrations throughout the year. Pam and Mike will be happy to help make your special occasions really memorable. Having lived in the neighborhood for 30 years they know all the best places to dine and can arrange for reservations, theater tickets, and carriage rides.

Other Amenities: Each bedroom in the house is named after a Galveston flower. So let us take you on a tour of our interior garden. You will find no phone or TV in your room, but you will find a TV and VCR in the library and a phone located in the entryway for you to use if the need arises. Let your mind drift to sleep as you rest your head on the down pillows provided on every bed. The bedrooms have central air-conditioning and heat for year-round comfort and a ceiling fan to adjust your room temperature to your desired level of personal comfort. Bring your favorite CDs; each room includes a CD player/alarm clock. The bedroom floors are oak and area rugs are numerous. Guestrooms are furnished with a mixture of antiques, family heirlooms, period furnishings and reproductions.
