Description: Welcome to the States Inn and Ranch, a 60 acre working San Juan Island ranch with lodging in great rooms, scratch cooked breakfasts, hiking trails, and livestock including, sheep, alpacas, and horses. In a peaceful valley a few miles from Friday Harbor, Washington the B&B at the ranch makes an ideal base camp for enjoying the wonders of the San Juan Islands. The Bed and Breakfast is only 90 miles south of Vancouver, BC, Canada, and just a few miles by boat or ferry from Victoria, British Columbia. The Inn is actually a converted, turn-of-the century schoolhouse that saw use over the years as a dance hall, ranch house, and finally as a country Inn. Although we are a working ranch, you get to relax. Visit with our animals, find new birds on our trails through woods and wetlands, read a good book or just enjoy the views across the valley. States Inn & Ranch also features excellent equestrian facilities for your enjoyment and convenience, including boarding and seasonal horseback riding.
