Description: Come stay awhile, enjoy a romantic mountain experience in your own private & intimate "cabin in the woods". Simply relax by the campfire, unwind, and let your mind take you back to a place in time. Enjoy our eight classic log cabins nestled among the ferns near the base of Old Man Mountain in a wooded glen where Shinneyboo Creek and the stunning South Yuba River meet.
Surrounded on three sides by the beautiful Tahoe National Forest, these spectacular forests of Jeffery Pines and old growth Cedars provide thousands of acres of rushing rivers, sparkling clear mountain lakes, emerald granite pools and trails like the Pacific Crest Trail and the Old Emigrant Trail of the 1800's for you to explore the Back-Country of the High Sierra.
Other Amenities:
Stunning Granite Falls just steps out your back door. Enjoy our close proximity to the Donner Summit ski resort areas, Truckee, Squaw Valley, and Lake Tahoe, as well as the culture of the Gold Country in Nevada City. Our cabins are located 15 minutes from Sugar Bowl, Boreal, Soda Springs and Royal Gorge. An easy 30 minutes drive each way, we are halfway between Truckee and Nevada City / Grass Valley. Shinneyboo Creek Cabins also conveniently border the Grouse Lakes Recreation Area, Fordyce Creek Trails, and the beautiful South Yuba River. We can be found on Eagle Lakes Road (exit 164) between Highway 20 exit and Cisco Grove exit just off of Interstate 80 near Yuba Gap and Emigrant Gap. Be the first to arrive in the Sierras, beat the traffic coming, and going home too! We are at the gateway to the high-country of the mountains and close to the metropolitan areas of Sacramento, San Francisco, and Reno. We also provide close-by adventurous accommodations as the new backyard playground
