Description: The idea for this B&B came to me as I myself perceived a need for a tranquil place where to rest from the turmoil of Manhattan life. I needed a place in the country, where I would feel comfortable, where I would be welcomed to stay sitting the whole day in the lounge chair, observe the sky. Not being able to find such a place, I decided to create it.I found this lovely spot not far from the City, in the Hudson Valley, close to Mohank Preserve and Minnewasaka State Park. It has almost 10 acres, 2 ponds, and lovely old trees. The house is spacious, with 2 decks, balcony, and an outside Jacuzzi. Besides great hiking, there are horse riding possibilities around, great shopping for antiques, golf, and vine trails. My breakfasts are festive, and I do take requests for special dietary needs. Massages by a certified massage therapist, Kinesiology and Reiki sessions are available on the premises for an extra fee, and must be ordered in advance. Well behaved pets are welcomed - with prior notification.
Other Amenities: A full breakfast is served between 8:30 – 10:00 either in our Dining Room, or outside in the garden. This includes juices, fruits, omelet with choice of ingredients, or crapes, breads and sausages. We do ask our guest about their food preferences, and try to accommodate different dietary requirements, as we understand that some of us are vegetarians and others not. Some are allergic to milk, and others to tomatoes…However, we like it healthy and wholesome….though, should we be caught in sinning, it should be worth it !!! In the afternoon, we serve tea and home made pie or cookies…On premises our guests have also at their disposal a “dry kitchen” i.e. a fridge, sink, dishes etc. to be able to enjoy the munchies they bring along. Tea and coffee is always available.
