Our B & B is an exquisite Second Empire mansion built circa 1887 as the private home of wheelwright Adam Orris and is a registered National Historic Landmark. Rich in original detail the bed & breakfast inn retains its original woodwork banisters pocket doors mantels and crystal grandeur of the home the innkeeper has chosen to keep most rooms furnished in accordance with their original purpose-as parlors music rooms dining rooms and libraries. All of these rooms are appointed in period antiques and are open for inn guests to enjoy. The inn warmly welcomes children who are accompanied by well behaved parents. Bedtime milk and cookies are a specialty of the innkeeper. This B&B combines the best of both worlds - it has the feel of 19th century America but the amenities of a five star hotel. It is this attention to detail combined with the Innkeepers charm that makes this a gem to be discovered.
