Description: The tradition of Magnolia House Bed and Breakfast began in 1923, when the stately home was designed and built by Edward Stein, local architect, banker and designer of the Gillespie County Courthouse, located in Fredericksburg, TX. The Texas Historical Commission has awarded The Recorded Texas Historic Landmark to the house.
Our guests are invited to relax on the patio, which surrounds the Koi pond and waterfall or on the wicker furnished porches. Inside our bed and breakfast the kitchen has original antique glass cabinets, a working cistern in the butler's pantry and built-in iceboxes with wooden doors.
Every morning, guests convene in the dining rooms to enjoy a full breakfast, starting with fresh fruit, homemade muffins and juice. The breakfast changes every day, including a combination of waffles, French toast or crêpes, bacon, sausage, and an egg entree. Oftentimes sweet rolls, biscuits and gravy are on the menu. Everything is prepared from scratch and served on antique china and silver. Magnolia House Bed and Breakfast is fully air conditioned and heated - both suites have fireplaces.
Other Amenities: Little Things Mean A Lot. Thoughtful amenities such as fresh flowers, home-baked snacks and complimentary beverages add to our guests pleasure. Each guest room & suite has a CD player, color television and a VCR or DVD player with cable and premium channels available. Magnolia House Bed and Breakfast soaps, shampoos, hair dryers and terry robes are lovingly provided. Wireless, hi-speed Internet access is also available. |
