Description: Stay in Minnesota's oldest continuously operating lighthouse on the North Shore. Built in 1892 the Two Harbors lighthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There are four private rooms from which to choose, each with a view of Lake Superior.
THE KEEPER'S ROOM: Facing south, the view from this room is a panorama of Lake Superior.
THE FOREST ROOM: You can watch the sun rise through woods over Lake Superior in this largest of our private rooms.
THE HARBOR ROOM: This room offers views of Lake Superior sunsets, giant ore boats and the harbor where they dock.
THE SKIFF HOUSE: A more rustic room, known as the Skiff House, is located a few steps from the Keeper's Quarters. Away from the main building, it offers a unique sense of privacy. The Skiff House has a private bath.
The lighthouse has common rooms open to all of our guests. There's a living room that's perfect for a little quiet time or mingling with other travelers, a dining room and a kitchen. The bathroom is shared and is as unique as the rest of this historic property. A Scandinavian breakfast is served in the dining room at 9:00a.m. All proceeds are applied to the restoration and maintenance of the lighthouse. The lighthouse is owned and operated by the Lake County Historical Society.
