Steamboat gothic architecture became popular in 1865. Restored monument to a German craftsman's building skills. This is the oldest continuously inhabited residence built in Gonzales! Sit in front of a cozy fire in the large country kitchen with its twenty-foot high ceiling; snooze in the master bedroom with its own fireplace and a mantel carved and signed by Mr. Fauth; soak in the sunken whirlpool tub-for-two!
