Description: Etta's Place is a Downtown Fort Worth Bed & Breakfast Inn located at 200 West Third Street in historic Sundance Square. Etta's Place is just around the corner from the Reata Restaurant, which opened in the spring of 2002. Where the Fort Worth's Water Gardens and Convention Center is located today was yesterday's Hell's Half Acre. Butch Cassidy and his partner The Sundance Kid resided here for a time. Etta Place, after whom the inn has been named, was commonly known as the girlfriend of The Sundance Kid. She is believed to have been a Fort Worth school teacher by day and a Madame for a Bordello at night. Recalling those lawless and rough years, Etta's Place, a 10 room inn, depicts the gentler side of our Texas heritage catering to midweek business travelers and those seeking a weekend getaway.
Rooms - Each of the 10 guest rooms has been named for a member of Butch Cassidy's Hole In The Wall Gang or his female companion. Room size varies from 300 square feet for a standard room to 700 square feet for a suite. And, unlike most bed and breakfasts, each guest room has a private bathroom.
Other Amenities: Honeymoon Suite - named Etta's Attic. It's tucked away at the top of the fire exit and promises privacy and seclusion. Includes Bachelor's Kitchen (frig & microwave & coffeepot) and a beautiful King bed. This fully equipped suite has comfortable seating areas, television armoire and space to spare. The private bath includes luxurious Jacuzzi tub with room for two, standing glass shower and charming pedestal sink.
Etta's Place has private baths for all rooms. The suites have full kitchens. The coffee nook, located on the 3rd floor, is fully stocked. A choice of full or continental breakfast is offered. Breakfast is served either in the dining room or on the patio area just off the dining room. There is a music room with a Steinway Grand, Library room with tables and chairs reminiscent of the English Club area. A game room is in a loft area that over looks the Music Room.
