Description: Dancing Oaks Ranch is the best place in the West to spend a day or a week relaxing, riding, or roaming over 750 acres of pristine Texas countryside. Just minutes West of Fort Worth, you will find a cowboy's & cowgirl's dream - horses to ride, ponds to fish, and land to roam places to just relax in the sun. So hang your hat and stay awhile. Ride into the Rain Forest where the lofty trees are thick with grapevines as big around as your arm. Dappled sunlight filters through the trees to the loamy, leaf strewn earth, giving it a far away, fantasy feel. Then trot on over to The Landing Strip covered in tall grass that dances like a prairie fire. The strip makes you want to ride with the wind. After your fiery ride, canter over to the Pecan Orchard and take in the beautiful vista. Stately pecan trees line the ancient creek, bed strewn with limestone. Next, gallop over to the Main House, past the Office which is built in the likeness of an 1890's Church. We also recommend riding over to the Coastal Pastures. These remarkable fields contain over 100 head of Black Angus cattle. You might also want to stop by and visit the bulls, O.J. and his son. The other side of the ranch includes Mexican cattle and a bull named Alamo Joe, with an impressive horn span of over two feet. He's a must see.

The Ranch is a working cattle ranch with a large herd of Black Angus and a herd of Corriente cattle from Mexico. We also raise and sell horses. Most of our horses are quarter horses with a strong cow sense, and are used on the ranch to work the cattle. Almost every weekend we have team roping at the Rocking Arena, where real cowboys demonstrate their roping skills. This is a really competitive sport, and often these ropings will draw over 100 roping teams competing for saddles and cash prizes. You can have a great time watching; or, if you are a roper, we invite you to join in on the fun.

The Ranch is located about 40 minutes West of Fort Worth, Texas, on Highway 199. It covers over 700 acres of large trees and pastures. There are lots of ponds in which to fish and the wildlife abounds. It takes about three hours to ride the fence line, and you could ride all day and not go back over the same area. Let us be the location for your next party or family reunion. We now have a new 1500 square foot Pavilion that can be used for large events, Call us for details on group rates. If you love to camp out we now have a new wilderness camping area with over 3 miles of great walking trails.
