Description: A Galveston Bed and Breakfast since 1994, this restored circa 1887 two-story Queen Anne Victorian is nestled in the Lost Bayou historical district with elegant charm and sophistication. With heirloom antiques, private baths, and a full country breakfast each morning. Honeymoon and Anniversary packages, copper roses, carriage rides, free movies, Jacuzzi for two, and an old fashioned garden swing. Award winning Best In the USA' and Best Breakfast In The Southwest. The home, by Alfred Muller a renowned architect from Krefeld Germany, was designed for Howard Carnes the cashier of the Morgan's Louisiana and Texas Railroad and Steamship Company. The second owner, Paul Shean was a coppersmith from Ireland, hence the name Coppersmith Inn.
Coppersmith Gardens: Karen is a Texas Master Gardener in Galveston County. In 1997, she was certified in Denton County. The Master Gardener program is sponsored by the Texas Cooperative Extension of Texas A&M University. In May 2004, the Coppersmith Inn was on tour for the Lake Forest Garden Club of Houston. Then in June 2004, the Inn's gardens were featured on the Clean Galveston Backyard Garden Tour. Our guests voted us Best Garden in “Arrington's Inn Traveler 2005 Book of Lists”. Thank You Guests!
Other Amenities: The Carriage House: A Jacuzzi for two, vaulted timbered ceiling, king size bed, in-room TV, VCR/DVD and CD player. Private Bathroom.
Clara's Country Cottage: This was the original summer kitchen to the main house, and now has a king size bed, and a double bed loft, private bath with an antique claw footed tub and shower with four shower heads. High ceiling, an in-room TV, VCR/DVD and CD player and free movies.
Victoria's Room: Private bath, antique sink and claw footed tub.
Jasmine's Garden Room: King size iron bed with a fluffy down topper, comfortable decorator couch, antique armoire with beveled mirrors. Private bath with gold accessories.
Heather's Rose Room: East Lake high-back queen size bed so comfortable people find it hard to get up. Art Nouveau armoire, large bay windows. Private bath with silver accessories. |
