Description: The Birdhouse, established in 1996, has an old farmhouse style with all the modern conveniences. The Chef de Cuisine has a vision that allows her to conceive new dishes and imbues the Bed & Breakfast with her personality. She is continually growing the Birdhouse menu with unique pastries and other exquisite breakfast dishes.
We are located in the small town of Mabank in East Texas about 75 miles southeast of the Dallas Fort Worth Airport or about 45 miles outside the Dallas city limits. We are open seven days a week year round. Mabank was established in 1900 and there are still some very old buildings on the main street and old homes to see.
Other Amenities: The Birdhouse has six bedrooms, each with their own exclusive style and private bathroom. The Red Hues and Sophisticate style of the Cardinal Room opens to a private balcony making it perfect for a Romantic stay. The Western Charm of the Cowbird Room will suit those ready for a quick escape from the bustle of the city. Each of our rooms has wireless internet capabilities so that you can stay in touch with family and business. Not only do we play host to those who just want a weekend getaway, but we also service a multitude of other events including scrap booking weekends. Our common area, which spills out onto a beautifully manicured lawn, is available for corporate meetings as well as luncheons or showers.
