The Bed and Breakfast Directory Autumn Newsletter
Autumn is here, the leaves are changing colors and vacationers are traveling with their sunroofs open and the cool wind blowing through their hair. Yes, Autumn is a grand season, a gorgeous time of year when the holiday spirit starts to churn and families come together. The year has gone fast and to slow it down, B&B guests are looking for a relaxed getaway to absorb the changing of the seasons. I would like to thank you for being a member inn with our community and this newsletter is intended to provide you with tips and suggestions to keep your Inn booked with happy guests. We also would love to hear your feedback on our directory’s appearance and any suggestions you may have for us.
As we all know too well, economic times are harsh right now and fuel prices have reached record highs. With that in mind, we have been working with Inns that extend special discounted stays or ‘Gas Saver’ specials to their guests. A couple of innkeepers we have talked with have experienced success with this special offer and their guest’s are extremely thankful for that. If you haven’t already, consider adding a special rate in your Inn description and we believe you’ll notice a strong response and guests that keep coming back to your B&B. And, we always encourage our innkeeper members to include as many photos as possible with their listings. Many reservation decisions are made purely based on previewing the listing’s photos, so including up to 8 photos is very important, and should attract increased guest activity to your listing this Fall season.
